Vault recently published the 2025 edition of all manner of its closely watched rankings for the country’s law firms, including prestige rankings and quality of life rankings. We recently discovered which midsize law firms are the best to work for, but which midsize firms reign supreme when it comes to reputation and prestige in certain regions of the country?
This is a ranking that matters to those who think “location, location, location” is the most important thing in life. Vault’s regional rankings are based on votes tabulated from associates who were asked to rate firms on a 1 to 10 scale based on their prestige within the region.

Chicago: Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg
New York: Susman Godfrey
Texas: Susman Godfrey
Congratulations to Susman for leading the pack in two major regions, congratulations the firms that moved up in this year’s midsize regional rankings, and congratulations to all the firms that made the cut in the first place.
