The video is of a Kirkland partner on a phone call over client concerns of a partnership contract. He knocks into a nearly empty bottle of Macallan whisky, but his quick reflexes save the day. The video was reportedly filmed by fellow Kirkland partners, and the proud middle finger sticking up for the majority of the clip tells you all you need to know about what the subject of the video thinks of his colleagues’ decision to capture the moment for posterity.
A source at the firm told RollOnFriday that despite the better part of the whisky bottle being gone, no one is actually drunk in the video. According to the insider, “It’s just a video of an exhausted lawyer on an internal call trying to do his work and disturbed by colleagues. I can’t believe they recorded him and am sure he regrets the gesture he made.”
Maybe the partner being filmed isn’t drunk, but you do have to marvel at the, ahem, judgment of the partners who filmed — and posted — the internal moment.
